Filofax design page week 10/01

This month of October is breast cancer awareness month and is the inspiration for the design of my pages for this week.

I only used two washi tapes: pink chevron and polka dot as decoration. And as an added touch Martha Stewart post its in pink.

Printables made on my computer complete the titles, except for the days of the week, where I used my own handwriting.

Breast cancer is a disease that has unfortunately taken too many lives. This month is especial to create awareness in all of us. I dedicate this page to my good friend L... and all the women that are fighting for the Cure.

Filofax design page week 09/22

This week I have a very basic design dedicated for those of you that don't have easy access to crafts stores.

I just used a set of flags from the Target dollar spot and one washi tape from Scotch brand.

A set of inexpensive sticker from the Sticko brand.

I used my own handwriting, a ruler and a sharpie to do the title and the decorating squares and dots. Hoping your guys like it and remember always use your imagination to create something beautiful that you would like to use every week.

Filofax design Page week 09/15

The Filofax are personal organizers that come in a variety of color and sizes produced by the Filofax company based in the UK. The Filofax name originates from an abbreviation of the phrase "file of Facts".
This week I am inspired by my love for Filofaxes and the UK to create this London theme:

The materials used are very basic items: two washi tapes (red and polka dot red), clip art images printed with my computer and my set of days of the week stamps from Basic Grey.

Start by stamping your basic items on plain white lined pages and then continue by adding your washi tape.

Then the fun part begins: decoration. Use your imagination to create a different weekly theme.

Victoria's Secret Pink inspired bedroom

My daughter recently gave me the biggest challenge ever: if I wanted to redecorate her room, it HAD to be inspired by the Pink store of Victoria's Secret. I have never backed off from a challenge, so I headed straight to the store, and then to my computer for inspiration. Here is the result.

For my version of the Pink bedroom we started with the basics: painting her room in pink and then adding stripes to the main wall as an accent. Doesn't it look just like the Victoria's Secret bags?

Online, we found pink dog vinyl stickers and cut-outs that we used throughout the room to achieve the theme. A set of thrift store lamps that we painted black were given the pink makeover with these decals.

For her bedroom furniture we added some touches, like spray painting the handles gold to resemble the awesome displays in the store.
Even the light switches got an upgrade. We used 50-cent plastic covers and spray painted them gold. My friends, spray paint is magic!

We found at Joann's this awesome white sheer fabric, that has a cheetah gold print and made some simple curtains for the room.

At the same thrift store we got a jewelry mini cabinet for $1.99, that I embellished using paints, scrapbook papers, glitter and the little VS dogs stickers.

Her pink items that she had previously purchased are displayed on her dresser to furthermore the theme.

This chalkboard memo got the pink treatment too. It is pinkalicious!

Now I have to prepare my wallet to begin a new collection of perfumes. Like she told me, Christmas is coming, and they're great gifts!

Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells Collection Album

I would like to share with you my first project to kick off  this holiday season: a Halloween album using the amazing collection from Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells.

As usually happens with all the Graphic 45 collections, I immediately fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. The amazing detail in each of their papers make them a pleasure to work with.

My cover is the awesome steampunk lady that I mounted on chipboard. I made her 3D using pop ups  dots.

The Album is big in size: 81/2 by 11 inches to accomodate an incredible amount of space for photos and journaling.

Orange, black and gold are the primary colors used.

But this unexpected blue makes the album so much more fun to look at.

There is amazing details in every paper. Little or no embellishments are necessary to create awesome pages.

An array of different characters pop in every corner of the album.

As usual it was an absolute delight to work with this collection.

Filofax page design week 09/08

This week I designed a very simple page for those of you that are not avid crafters or do not own a ton supplies.

I barely used three washi tapes, my set of flags from the dollar spot at Target and one single stamp.

For those of you that do not own stamps, one option is to print your titles and images on your computer and then just glue them to your pages.

This week was a challenging week so the theme is to remind me that no matter what happens I have to enjoy life, even with their ups and downs.

Have a great week, I will see you next week with another design.

Filofax page design week 09/01

I am going to be using a  very girlie design this week on my planner. It is pink all around, with some accents in black and silver.

The materials used were:
1. Washi tape (Pink polka dot and gray)
2. Basic Grey Hello stamp set.
3. Martha Stewart Post it.
4. Target Dollar spot flags.
5. Air balloon stamp from Michaels.
6. Stickers from Dear lizzy collection.

I started my pages from scratch, but you can use your planner pages and just decorate them.

I start by stamping the days of the week and the current month on post its flags.

My favorite item for decoration are washi tapes in different colors.

I set up my post its and my checklist pads on my pages.

At the end it is all about fun using stamps and stickers decorate.

I will see you next week with another decorated page. Thanks for reading!
