Teresa Collins Masquerade Party album

Last June while I was attending the scrapbook convention I was so happy when I found the whole collection Masquerade Party from Teresa Collins. I love her products, they are so elegant and of great quality. I purchased a set of papers and the coordinating stamp set and used it for my home decor, with the leftover papers I created this file folder mini album that was so easy and fun to make.

I love Halloween and making projects to display on my home during this season it's so much fun. I used this album as decor for my foyer.

The construction on the album is really simple. I used different paper sizes and scored them in the middle and simply used staples to hold all my pages together.

For the cover I used a 3x4 project life card (Mambi), some chipboard elements from the collection and a chipboard frame that I made.

The colors are the basic Halloween colors: orange, black, white and a hint of metallic touches.

Every page is really easy to decorate, just using the amazing designs of the papers.

The only embellisments I used were some cuts from my Silhouette and the chipboard stickers from the collection.

With the papers I created a flip photo book to add more photos later.

I used a lot of tabs and different paper sizes to give my album texture. That is something that I always do to create more interest when the album is closed.

With the paper I had leftover from another collection, I attached this mini book as a fun element.

Thank you so much for reading and Happy Halloween!

DIY Halloween treat boxes using Project life cards

For my Halloween treat or trick boxes this year I wanted to make something special that can also double as decoration for my home. With this in mind I created these boxes using cardstock and project life 3x4 cards as decoration.

These treat boxes are really easy to make. For materials you will need: heavy cardstock, 3x4 Project life cards, adhesive and any other embellishment you would like to use.

For this project I actually used one sheet of scrapbook paper that had different 3x4 sections. I bought it at Hobby Lobby for 59 cents.

To create the box use heavy cardstock in any coordinating color and cut to size 11" x 7". Then score at 5" & 7" on the 11 inch side, and 1" and 6" on the 7" side. Then glue all of your pieces together.

After that comes the fun part: decorating your boxes.

And as the main decor use your project life cards.

I added my candy in a little plastic bag for freshness.

And easy as that, you have your treat boxes ready.

I am displaying my boxes on my dining room table. They bring a nice and festive touch to my home.

Happy Halloween and thanks for reading!

Filofax Decorated Pages

A few months back I wanted to start a weekly series showing my designs for my planner pages, but long story short, my life got crazy and I didn't follow through. I decided to start again and this time, I'm planning to do a monthly series of pictures showing how I decorate my planner for each month.

Currently I am using my Filofax Original in A5 size and I'm loving it. It was my first splurge for my planner obsession, and decorating my pages every week is one of my favorite things to do.

I designed my own insert pages using Photoshop with the help of my daughter (she is the Technology guy at home) and I use different elements to create themes for them weekly.

These were some of my favorite designs this year:

Vintage:

Pink:

  Nautical:

 Family:

Disney:

Gold tones:

And my absolute favorite: Heidi Swapp inspired page. This one she personally liked on Instagram which made me really proud.

I post my pictures weekly on Instagram (@CraftroomSecrets). There you can see more designs. I will see you here at the end of the month with all pictures from the month of October. Thank you so much for reading and your comments!
