I made my pages from blank lined pages, but you can use your regular planner refills. I used sticky notes or post its, washi tape, stamps and other items. I will come back tomorrow with a new theme and list all materials I used.

Graphic 45 Transantlantique Collection Travel Mini Album

I would like to share my latest project: A scrapbook travel mini album using the Transantlantique collection from Graphic 45.

As soon as I saw this collection I knew I had to have it.  The colors, the images and elegance made me dream of a vintage mini for my photos.

The mini is enclosed in a small box that I altered to make it look like a suitcase.

For the cover I mounted this incredible Cruise ship image on chipboard and used different inks and paints to create an illusion of a vanishing horizon behind it.

I wanted the mini to have the elegance of the era when traveling was a first class treat. I used gold accents that accentuated the deep color of the collection.

Graphic 45 papers are so amazing, that it's so hard to cut them apart. But at the same time, they need minimal embellishments to create incredible pages.

I added plenty of room for journaling because I like to document the places I visit and the history of each location.

The mini is filled with interactive pockets and pull outs to maximize the amount of storage for photos or your travel memorabilia.

Each page is filled with places to add your favorite photos.

This one is one of my favorite pages:

In the back cover I painted my chipboard with a black color, that later on I distressed using a variety of inks.

I had so much fun doing this mini and I am gonna certainly cherish it forever. Thanks Graphic 45, for an awesome collection!

Creating vintage thread spools

Sewing is another one of my hobbies and I am always looking for idea, to store my supplies.
A couple months back in a trip to the Salvation Army, I found a thread organizer for an awesome price: $1.99. I love the way all my threads are displayed and easy accessible, but I was looking for some other way to decorate them.

This past weekend I saw this idea from a friend, Ms. Marilyn G on YouTube (link to her channel). She was so amazing and gave some to me as a RAK (Random act of kindness) and I wanted to share it with you guys.

Using wood circles that you can purchase at any craft store, a set of stamps (Prima spool stamp set) and glue you can create the illusion of vintage thread spools.

This is how the spools are at the beginning.

Use your stamps in any color and make a hole in the center.

Use regular glue to attach to your threads.

Love the difference it makes and best of all very cheap!

Thanks Ms. Marilyn G!
